Charli XCX Releases New Summer Gems "Focus" and "No Angel"

Our favorite pop princess has had a busy week. After dropping the music video for "5 in the Morning" on Wednesday, Charli XCX surprised us today with the release of two new summer bops: "Focus" and "No Angel." These fan-favorite songs, which have been performed live by the singer as far back as 2016, are the definition of infectious summer pop.

"Focus" produced by A.G. Cook and Jack & Coke, resembles the electro-pop songs from her last mixtape Pop 2. "No Angel" featuring production by longtime collaborator SOPHIE, however, is similar to the singer's older bubblegum pop tunes. In the first track, Charli captivatingly asks us to focus on her love, while in the second track, in contrast to the title of her early 2017 mixtape, she sings about her partying lifestyle and describes herself as indeed, no angel.

These singles are only the beginning of a stream of hits the songstress is planning to release this year. Between her upcoming third studio album and a coveted spot as one of the opening acts on Taylor Swift's Reputation Tour, it's officially Charli XCX's world. We're just living in it.
